Extreme Prevention Teams with El Dorado Police Department for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, October 24th, eXtreme Prevention, a service of SHARE Foundation, will sponsor a bi-annual Prescription Drug Take-Back Drive-Thru Event at the El Dorado Walmart Pharmacy entrance, located at 2730 N. West Ave. The event will be held from 10 am – 2 pm. Local law enforcement personnel from the El Dorado Police Department will be on hand to collect the unneeded medications from citizens.

For more than a decade, the event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications—those that are old, unwanted, or expired—that too often become a gateway to addiction.

Take-Back Day offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at more than 4,000 local drop-off locations nationwide. In partnership with local law enforcement, Take Back Day has removed more than 8,300 tons of medication from circulation since its inception.

Collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container. The cap must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage.

eXtreme staff and volunteers will have brochures and other goodies to share with event attendees.

We want to give a huge shout-out to Mr. Uriel Camacho, Walmart Manager, for allowing us the opportunity to have this event at Walmart once again.
