Who we are

Who we are

Founded in 2023 by the SHARE Foundation, Southern Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH) Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 entity created to provide ongoing financial support, partnerships, and resources to help SARH succeed in serving the community and region. At SARH Foundation, we believe that promoting and supporting our community's charitable giving and generosity is an important commitment that contributes to a strong, healthy, and resilient Southern Arkansas.

Mission – to raise funds to support South Arkansas Regional Hospital initiatives and to purchase priority medical equipment that maintains and improves the quality of care for patients.

Vision – A South Arkansas that works together to provide innovative, high-quality healthcare to all residents.

SARH Foundation brings our community together to support excellent health care close to home for all who need it. The SARH Foundation is the conduit between the hospital and our community, giving caring residents a way to support the health and wellness of their family, friends, and neighbors while preserving this vital resource for the overall economic vitality of our community. Thanks to the generosity of our caring neighbors and friends, we help ensure that SARH has the resources it needs to keep people healthy and save lives.

Relation between SARH Foundation, SHARE Foundation and UAMS:

In 2023, South Arkansas Regional Hospital purchased the Medical Center of South Arkansas and its assets. SARH is a new, nonprofit organization created by a consortium of community stakeholders with a deep commitment to El Dorado – the SHARE Foundation, Murphy Foundation, Murphy USA Charitable Foundation, and AR Health Ventures, a nonprofit entity associated with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

Therefore, the establishment of SARH is intended to provide South Arkansas with more healthcare and medical services to the community. The new hospital entity is dedicated to serving the region's medical needs and expects to continue and build on the tradition of providing quality care and services.
