About Peer Recovery Services
At eXtreme Prevention, we believe recovery is for everyone, and no one should have to walk the journey alone. Our program connects individuals to understanding, nonjudgmental help from trained peers who have lived experience in recovery. Through shared understanding, compassion, and connection, we help individuals find hope and build a path toward lasting wellness.
What is Peer Support?
Peer Support is based on connection rather than clinical treatment. It focuses on empathy, trust, encouragement, and empowerment so individuals understand recovery is possible and sustainable through shared experience and community.
What are Peer Recovery Services?
Peer Recovery Services are a person-centered approach that pairs individuals seeking recovery with someone who has lived experience overcoming similar challenges. Certified specialists use their training and personal experience to provide encouragement, guidance, connection, and referrals to resources. Rather than focusing solely on treatment, peer recovery services help individuals strengthen their confidence, rebuild relationships, and develop practical strategies for daily life, all within a supportive and judgment-free environment.
eXtreme Prevention’s Recovery Coordinator provides Peer Recovery Services and Peer Support to adults in Union County, Arkansas.
