SHARE Foundation offers several scholarships for:
- Individuals pursuing health-related careers.
- Individuals must reside in Union County or within a 40-mile radius of El Dorado.
- Individuals that want to remain in Union County or El Dorado after graduation.
- Work requirement upon graduation is one year per each year funded (with a minimum of one year required). Graduates must work in a position within their field of study at South Arkansas Regional Hospital in El Dorado or other qualifying positions in Union County.
To be eligible for scholarship assistance applicants must have completed all pre-requisites and have a letter of acceptance into the specific program of study and have a financial need. Go to www.sharefoundation.com under the “our programs” tab and click scholarships. The scholarship application portal and deadlines are listed on the website. Online applications must be submitted before March 1 for the summer semester and June 1 for the fall semester.
SHARE Scholarships provide partial tuition and a small book stipend. SHARE Scholarships are considered last pay after all other financial aid. Payments are submitted directly to the school, and students are required to submit grades to SHARE after each semester. Before applying please review each scholarship carefully to determine eligibility.
All scholarships are funded through our local donors that understand the importance of keeping qualified nurses in El Dorado, and we thank them for their generosity and support in our community’s healthcare. If you would like to participate in assisting a nontraditional student with financial need, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to any SHARE Foundation Scholarship Program.
