About the Facility, HealthWorks is a multi-story 50,000 square foot fitness and aquatics center located near the heart of downtown El Dorado. Formerly the local YWCA, the SHARE Foundation took over operations of the facility in 2002. The facility has an annual operating budget of $1.8 million and an approximate membership base of 3,800 and over 70 employees who provide exceptional service to the community. This non-profit fitness center provides membership assistance to around 300 individuals each month to use the facility. Ongoing group fitness classes include Les Mills Body Pump, RPM, and CXWORX. Other programing includes Yoga, Pilates and classes specifically for seniors like Drums Alive. The big news recently, is the introduction of Rock Steady Boxing for individuals with Parkinson's disease. We offer both one on one personal training and group programs like Xplode Training Systems and Barre’ Works. The aquatics program supports a world class swim team, private swim lessons, and aquatic group fitness classes. KidWorks provides parents with a place to drop off their children while they work out or attend a fitness class. Amenities include a full service juice bar serving healthy smoothies, sandwiches, muffins, and salads, an indoor track, weights, and the latest cardio-equipment. HealthWorks is definitely a big gem in a small town.
