PRIDE Youth Programs Director

Status: Full Time Exempt

Position Summary:

• Responsible for overall management of all aspects of PRIDE Youth Programs (PYP) consistent with established mission, goals, objectives and policies.
• Provide leadership, strategic direction, and vision for the development and achievement of the mission and goals of PYP.
• Serve as a liaison for community outreach to increase the awareness of PYP, communicate prevention objectives and grow the volunteer base. 
• Provide Project Management to complete the PYP work plan and to develop, implement and evaluate strategic plans and action plans for projects consistent with the mission of PYP. 
• Serve as a role model for youth by being tobacco, alcohol and drug free.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., B.S.E.) and 3 years’ experience in prevention required.
• A major in marketing, education, communications or other related field is preferred.
• Experience in lieu of educational requirements acceptable provided there is demonstrated competency of skills in carrying out assignments, operations and procedures identified in the position summary through a minimum of seven years of experience in a related prevention field working with youth. 
• Prevention certification preferred.

• Strong and positive communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal skills to include tact and diplomacy,public speaking, networking, sound judgment, creativity, planning and organization, ability to manage flexible schedules in a variety of locations and situations with staff and community individuals or groups; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Computer skills to include Excel, Word and Power Point, Photo Shop, and Garage Band. 
• Social media platform knowledge must include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.
